It’s a common misconception that Christians should not develop their intellectual minds for the purpose of probing the intricate depths of God, but Proverbs 2:2-4 proclaims otherwise. It states:
Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures.
Wisdom and understanding are what properly equip us to weather the storms of life and to see with more clarity the face and nature of the God we follow. And, consequently, it’s only really in the harder times that we truly grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus. Delve Deeper is an online magazine aiming to look beyond the surface implications of difficulty, hardship or adverse circumstances into the face of an incredible God.
The apostle Paul wrote in Acts to “Count it all joy [my brethren] when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
At Delve we pray you find new ways of looking at the seemingly impossible situations life throws your way and, in all things, give glory to God.
Deep cries out to deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me.
—Psalm 42:7
