It’s a new year and Delve is giving a book away for good measure.

The music slows; the pianos, strings and pads come out; the harmonies grow louder and more vibrant… And the crowd-chatterers start.

And then there’s the ‘nothing specials’, the ones who feel like a mistake, the ones who think their life doesn’t count for anything or matter to anyone.

When my heart grows lonely or restless or saddened or weary, it matters not, because it still gives me spiritual life.

The meaning of life became more simplistically apparent to me than a Hollywood family movie.

For the first time I caught a glimpse of a life without God, and it scared me.

Because the art of life is not in the painting but the perseverance.
